The ⚖️ Scale Sheets list all the scales with the notes for your instrument. They’re there to help you practice and reference as you’re learning them, but try to work your way off of them as you’re able (including in our rehearsal warm-ups) so you’re confident when it comes time to assess them from memory.

HS Semester 2 Work

In High School, as we assess on all our standard scales every fall, we work some non-standard scale things for our second semester.

While it’s the same scales every fall (and thus, hopefully requires less effort each successive year) in the spring there’s a rotation to which years we will do different work, and separate tiers for freshmen/sophomores and juniors/seniors.

Upperclassmen Double Octaves

For 2022, instruments with few double octave scales will have underclassmen’s allotment added (scales just for upperclassmen in bold)

In future years (next in 2024), all instruments will get their underclassmen scales in addition to these.
