PyWare Mobile app

PyWare (the software to write marching band drill) offers a “viewer” app for iOS and Android.

Much like PyWare itself, this app is janky. It is useful in that it can contain your entire dot sheet and the dot sheets of everyone else around you, along with animations from set to set. It is a personal judgment call as to whether it’s worth $3.

It does not sync the music with the drill.

To load in the drill, you can’t simply have the file somewhere — you must have a download link to the file. If you just download the file through your browser, PyWare provides no way of loading it in. You have to give them the download link in the import menu.

To control playback, you actually need to use the ‘fast forward’ arrows to set the start and end range of what you’d like to have it show.
